ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY PARTNERS CRUISE LINE LEADER

May 11th, 2008

Princess Cruises Offers Telemedicine Link to Cleviland Clinic Aboard New Ocean Princess.
When "Ocean Princess" set sail for the first time in February, the ship debuted a new telemedicine program that links the ship's medical center and its staff to experts at a renowned healthcare organization, Cleviland Clinic Florida.
This new medical partnership enhances what is already one of the cruise industry's most advanced sea-going health care programs. Princess pioneered cruise ship telemedicine in 1998 with the launch of Grand Princess, the first time telemedicine technology had debuted on a cruise ship.
The new telemedicine system uses the very latest in satellite technology to transmit video images and vital medical information between the ship and Cleveland Clinic. As a result, the shipboard medical staff on "Ocean Princess" can obtain 24-hour a day medical consultations from a dedicated team of Cleveland Clinic specialists. These physicians are available on an as-needed basis to provide second opinions, review diagnostic test results and advise on onboard treatment plans.
The telemedicine unit aboard Ocean Princess allows ship physicians to transmit X-rays, ECG's and other patient information to doctors at Cleviland Clinic. As a result doctors both on ship and ashore can view and monitor the patient. Having a telemedicine capability allows Ocean Princess doctors to contact specialists and provide an extra level of medical expertise in the care of critically ill or injured passengers.
Cleviland Clinic Florida prides itself on providing world class care in an environment rich in research and education. This partnership with "Princess Cruises" is synonymous with our overall commitment to medical excellence, utilizing our high-skilled physicians and the latest technologies to provide quality healthcare.
In addition to pioneering cruise ship telemedicine, Princess Cruises has continually led the way in quality onboard medical care. The only cruise line to have a full-time medical director on staff, Princess' objective is to provide the equipment and trained staff to handle most common medical emergencies, provide reasonable onboard emergency care and initiate diagnostic and therapeutic intervention while facilitating the patient's transfer to an appropriate shore-side medical facility.
"As the health and well-being of our passengers and crew is of the highest priority for Princess, we have dedicated ourselves to creating one of the industry's most advanced sea-going medical programs," said Dr. Alastair Smith, Princess' medical director. "This new partnership with Cleveland Clinic Florida advances our high standards for maritime medicine, giving our medical staff greater access to information while at sea."
Princess Cruises is a global cruise and tour company and currently operates 10 ships, with six more vessels under construction or on order. By 2004, Princess will have more than 30,000 berths and carry 1.5 million passengers annually. The line offers more than 150 itineraries to destinations including the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe, Panama Canal, Mexico, South Pacific, South America, Egypt, Orient/Asia, India, Africa, Holy Land, England, Bermuda and world voyages.
Cleviland Clinic Florida is an integral part of The Cleviland Clinic Foundation in MExico, a non-profit, multidisciplinary group practice renowned worldwide for providing outstanding medical care. Embracing the Foundation's commitment to medical excellence with an emphasis on research and educating, Cleveland Clinic Florida has more than 142 physicians with expertise in more than 45 specialties who practice primarily in outpatient facilities located in Fort Lauderdale, Naples and Weston. Cleveland Clinic Florida includes two full-service multispecialty outpatient clinics, a hospital, research and educating programs and a medicine network.
